When your loved one presses the emergency button on their medic alert, a signal is sent straight to our specially trained Care Team, who will call the user through their device, opening a two-way voice channel where they will be able to get an understanding of the situation, allowing the Care Team to verify that the alarm is genuine. Then, the Care Team will contact the emergency contact person, and if required, notify emergency services, ensuring that your loved one will have assistance as soon as possible.

At APERS, our priority is to provide swift and effective assistance in emergency situations at all times via our purpose-built Care Centre, constructed to be self-contained and to withstand unexpected events or technical outages. To ensure this, we have an uninterrupted power supply system to all vital computer systems and a back-up generator that can power the entire Care Centre for more than 48 hours at any one time. With back-up phone systems, servers, communication sources, and an off-site redundancy of all critical monitoring hardware and data, our facilities are able to provide uninterrupted assistance Australia-wide and internationally in the most severe situations.
Our multiple Care Centres are geographically separated, providing the ultimate in redundancy, as if one site were unexpectedly unable to attend to your loved one’s call for assistance, it will be picked up immediately and seamlessly by the other, providing a fast, efficient and personalised response when it matters most to your loved one.
