Alongside our Personal Emergency Response Systems, APERS provides a 24/7 monitoring service through our ISO 9001: 2015 quality assured Control Room Care Team.
Once a user activates the Emergency Button on their device, one of our specially trained Care Team members calls the user through their device opening a two-way voice channel between the user and the Care Team, allowing our Care Team to understand and assess the situation, and respond to as necessary, either calling the user’s designated emergency contact, or, if required, notifying emergency services.
The APERS’ Care Team is heavily invested in the safety and well-being of our clients, which is why we respond to our alerts as fast as possible, whilst still providing a high standard of care.
Since the company’s establishment in 1971, our friendly Care Team has had many years of experience, and since then, have ensured that we are there and available at all times, no matter the situation or time of day. Our Care Team is accessible 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. Even during unforeseen events or technical outages, we have multiple power supplies and generators, enabling us to provide uninterrupted assistance Australia wide. As well as this, we have back-up phone systems, servers and alternative communication paths if these services were to be disturbed.
Additionally, we have multiple Care Teams that are geographically separated, meaning if one site were unexpectedly unable to operate, the other site would still be able to function and provide seamless, quick responses.
