Impact of technology on personal alarms

One of the greatest benefits of modern technology is how it improves our ability to communicate with the people we love the most.

Technology has also improved communications between people, all over the world, regardless of where they happen to be.

For example, if you have a CCTV surveillance system installed, most systems have a corresponding app that allows you to access the cameras.

This means you can view the recorded footage from your phone, enabling you to ensure your family is safe in your absence.

Another way that technology is impacting our society is in the development of personal alarms.

At APERS, we have incorporated modern technology in a very unique way to help us aid your loved ones when they need it most.

What Has This Business Developed?

APERS, Australian Personal Emergency Response Systems, is a business that is focused upon providing you with peace of mind.

If you have elderly, sick, frail or disabled members in your family, APERS have developed a state-of-the-art personal emergency response system.

This system that may assist them during an emergency by having direct contact with the 24-hour professional APERS Care Team.

Why Is This Particular Product So Unique?

This product utilises modern technology, not only in the design of the alarm system, but its capability.

You are able to connect your loved one to emergency assistance through wireless cellular data connections.

Additionally, you have the option to be notified by the Care Team if your loved one does have an accident and activates the device.

This gives you the ability to check on your family members and act quickly when emergencies arise.

The device itself is preprogrammed, very easy to install, and allows you to feel confident about the well-being of your loved ones.

You are able to rent or purchase these devices and they are delivered to your location for free.

How Do These Devices Work?

The Personal Medical Alarm includes two parts: a pendant and base unit.

The base unit is the hardware installed in your loved one’s home.

This device has to be connected to a power source at all times and establishes the connection with the Care Team once the device is activated.

Through the built-in speaker and microphone, your loved one will have direct communication with the Care Team during an emergency.

The pendant is a small waterproof device that is typically worn at all times.

This device connects wirelessly to the base unit and must be within 300 metres in open-air of the base unit in order to operate.

These devices are able to be activated by simply pressing the emergency button, either on the pendant or base unit.

This will send out an emergency signal to the APERS Control Room, which is monitored 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.

From there, our Care Team will contact your loved one via the base unit, opening a two-way voice channel.

This allows the Care Team can talk to them and determine the nature of the emergency.

Based on the predetermined instructions, the Care Team will alert you of the situation.

This means you can act quickly and provide assistance in what could be a potentially life-threatening situation.

If necessary, the Care Team may also notify emergency services.

If you have been looking for the best alert system for a family member you’re concerned about APERS will have the exact alert system that you need.

Once you see this device working in action, you will see why so many people are using this system and why they recommend it to friends and other family members.

This type of alert system could one day save the life of a family member thanks to the wonders of modern technology.

At APERS, we understand that keeping your loved ones safe is the most important thing in the world.
